The motor defines comfort as much as the silence of a roller shutter, the tension of a zip screen in the wind or the morning opening of a louvre shutter. The Ferrini Tubular Motors range — tubular motors hidden inside the box, torque classes chosen by weight, and control options covered by the same warranty as the whole system — is an integral part of every Ferrini system.
Control options
Remote controls
Single-channel, multi-channel and timer remotes; one button for a single shutter or the whole façade. Wall-mounted transmitters and push-button switches work with the same receiver.
Tubular motors
Tubular motors in different diameters and torque classes for roller shutters, zip screens, louvre shutters and awnings; mechanical or electronic limit setting, radio (RF) and wired versions.

Remote control, wall button, smart-home system, crank and manual handle: every Ferrini system is fitted with the control method the project needs, with a manual override option for power cuts.

Does the shutter open during a power cut?
With the manual-override (crank) motor option the shutter can be opened and closed by hand during a power cut; a battery-backed control unit is also available.
Can my existing shutter be motorised?
Most manual shutters can be motorised with a tubular motor matched to the tube diameter and weight. Our authorised dealer inspects on site and selects the right motor.
How many systems can one remote control?
Multi-channel remotes control 5, 15 or more motors individually or in groups; with smart-home integration the limit is set by the app.
Can a motorised system be connected to a smart home setup?
Yes. Besides a remote and a wall switch, tubular motors can also be connected to smart home systems; roller shutters, sun louvres, zip screens and awnings can be run together in the same scenario.
Which systems use wind and sun sensors?
On fabric systems that stay exposed outdoors — awnings and zip screens — a wind sensor retracts the system by itself and a sun sensor lowers it at a set light level. On roller and louvre shutters, timers and smart home scenarios are used instead of sensors.
