Awning Systems
An unforgettable atmosphere for your living spaces, combining comfort and aesthetics.
Ferrini Awning Systems offer practical solutions designed to create a comfortable, functional outdoor living space. Used to protect against the harmful effects of the sun, provide cool shade and extend outdoor activities, our awnings also enrich spaces with their aesthetic design.
An awning only shades from above; if the sun and wind coming from the side must be stopped too, a vertical zip screen does that, and if you want to turn the terrace into an enclosed room used all year, winter garden systems do.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between a cassette awning and a folding-arm awning?
Both protect the fabric inside a cassette. The cassette awning is motorised, reaches 7 metres wide and takes integrated LED lighting; the folding-arm awning is hand-cranked and more economical.
What is a window awning (Wintent) used for?
A window awning provides vertical shading for window and façade openings.
How do I choose between cassette, window and folding-arm awnings?
All three protect the fabric inside a cassette. The cassette awning reaches 7 metres wide and takes integrated LED lighting; the window awning takes no room in front of a narrow balcony or a shop window; the folding-arm awning is hand-cranked and is the most economical way to shade.
Cassette, size and control for all three sit side by side in the awning comparison.
Should I buy an awning or a zip screen?
An awning shades only from above; if the sun and wind coming from the side must be stopped too, or insects and dust must be kept out, you need a zip screen, which locks the fabric into the guides. An awning has to retract in wind, while a zip screen does not flap.
The comparison of the two: zip screen or awning.
How is awning fabric cleaned?
Acrylic awning fabric is cleaned with water and a soft brush; pressure washers and solvents are not used. On all three models the fabric is drawn into the cassette when retracted, so it soils slowly; even so, a clean at the start of the season is worth doing.
