Sliding Systems
Three PVC sliding solutions for balcony and terrace doors that take no floor space and give wide glass: the insulated Comfort Slide Plus, the Panorama HS 76 lift-and-slide for 3-metre sashes, and the minimal Lotus axial slider.
Opening size and insulation expectations decide the sliding system. Comfort Slide Plus targets the highest thermal and acoustic insulation among PVC sliders with a 149 mm, 5-chamber frame; Panorama HS 76 carries 3 m wide, 300–400 kg sashes with its lift-and-slide mechanism and 20 mm aluminium threshold; Lotus offers a minimal slider with no outward protrusion, its sashes recessed into a 122 mm frame.

What does lift-and-slide (Hebeschiebe) mean?
When the handle is turned the sash rises a few millimetres off its gaskets and glides; when closed it settles back to seal. With this mechanism Panorama HS 76 moves sashes of up to 400 kg with one hand.
Can a sliding door have an insect screen?
Yes; a sliding screen runs on the outer track, and Lotus and Comfort Slide Plus have a frame-compatible screen profile.
PVC or aluminium sliding?
PVC sliding wins on thermal insulation and price; for very wide openings and slim profiles Ferrini's LineaRossa aluminium sliding systems are recommended. We fabricate both; the choice is made with the dealer at the survey.
