Vertical Zip Screen (Zipline Neo)
Systems

Vertical Zip Screen (Zipline Neo)

Zipline Neo zip screens offer limitless options with box profiles designed for different mounting types (110 Soft, 110 Sharp, 130 Sharp, 110 Wave). Patented plastic tension springs keep the fabric smooth and taut at all times; 172 km/h wind resistance.

A vertical zip screen locks the fabric into the side guides like a zipper, so it does not flap in the wind and no light or insects get past the edges. Zipline Neo comes in four box types (110 Soft, 110 Sharp, 130 Sharp, 110 Wave) to suit balconies, terraces, pergolas and façades. Patented plastic tensioning springs keep the fabric taut in every position.

The same zipped edge running horizontally over a glass roof or pergola becomes a ceiling zip screen; the difference in sizes and resistance is in the zip screen comparison.

Home AutomationEasy integration with home automation systems.
Sun ProtectionBlocks sun and glare while keeping the view outside.
ColoursAll RAL colours and a rich screen fabric collection.
Insect and DustThe zipped edge locks the fabric in the guide; insects and dust stay out.
Energy SavingsStops solar heat outside the glass and cuts the cooling load.
DimensionsSingle-piece applications up to 16 m².

Vertical Zip Screen (Zipline Neo)

The zip on both edges of the fabric runs locked inside the PVC profile of the side guide; weights in the bottom profile and plastic springs in the guides keep the fabric taut in every position. The result: an outdoor screen that does not flap in the wind, lets no light in at the edges and keeps insects and dust out.

Zipline Neo achieved 172 km/h in wind tunnel testing conducted by METU Wind (ODTÜ Rüzgem), setting an industry record for wind-resistant zip screens - a reliable choice for coastal regions and high-wind climates.

The zip screen system is applied to restaurants, cafés, shopping malls, shops, villas or any building you wish. It is operated by remote control or wall switch; the extra-protective fabric is produced to resist impact, water, sun, snow and wind.

Fabric and colour

Special fabrics are used in our systems. These Copaco and Serge Ferrari fabrics are designed for outdoor conditions; see the fabric catalogue for colour options. All aluminium parts can be painted in RAL colours or wood-transfer coated. On request, any image or text suited to the fabric colour and print quality can be printed on the fabric.

Wind resistance test

One of the most important factors for outdoor screen systems is their resistance to wind. Its importance becomes apparent when fabrics tear and profiles deform on systems exposed to high-speed winds. Zipline Neo withstands wind speeds of up to 172 km/h thanks to both the fabrics used and the aluminium components. (METU Rüzgem, Wind Tunnel Test Report)

For dealers: shipping and installation

Neo ships knocked down: the screen box comes in a 150 × 210 mm carton and the guide profiles in a 75 × 175 mm carton; springs, zip profiles and end caps are included. The installation video and technical catalogue are below.

For manufacturers: stock-length profiles and accessories

You do not have to buy zip screens from us only as knock-down systems. Manufacturers with the capacity to cut and assemble in their own workshop can also buy Zipline Neo and Zipline Sky-S as stock-length profiles and accessories: you do the manufacturing, we supply the system and the technical support.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is it installed?
Is the zip screen wind-resistant?

Yes. Zipline Neo has demonstrated resistance up to 172 km/h in wind tunnel tests carried out by METU Rüzgem, making it suitable for coastal areas and windy climates.

What is the difference between a zip screen and a classic awning?

A zip screen uses a zipper-like system that fixes the fabric edges into rails, providing much higher wind resistance than classic awnings.

Which box series should I choose?

The 110 mm boxes cover most openings up to 4 m high; the widest and tallest screens need the larger winding diameter of the 130 Sharp. Soft, Sharp and Wave differ only in the shape of the front face.

Can zip screens be used in vertical and roof applications?

Yes. Neo is used for vertical applications such as balconies, terraces and façades; for roof applications such as winter gardens and glass roofs use Zipline Sky-S.
