Bi-Fold Systems
Folding glass doors that open the living room to the garden, and the louvred shutters of Mediterranean façades: top-hung GLR-63, bottom-running GLR-64 and the LR-6000 folding shutter.
In a bi-fold door the sashes stack like an accordion, clearing almost the whole opening. GLR-63 transfers the sash load to the top frame and keeps the sill slim; GLR-64 puts the load on carrier bearings in the floor and carries 120 kg per sash. LR-6000 is a folding shutter that provides shade and ventilation with louvred aluminium panels instead of glass.

Bi-fold or sliding door?
A bi-fold clears the whole opening but shows more vertical profiles when closed; a sliding door has fewer profiles and better insulation but at least half the opening stays closed. Bi-fold for garden-living-room integration, sliding for the view.
Is there a threshold on a bi-fold door?
In GLR-63 the top-hung design keeps the sill slim and almost flush; in GLR-64 the carrier track is in the floor, so there is an 86 mm sill and the floor level is planned accordingly.
