Aluminium external venetian blinds provide top-level energy efficiency with louvres adjustable at every height. Sun control brings unrivalled comfort.
An external Venetian blind stops the sun with aluminium slats outside the glass, so the heat never enters and the cooling load drops noticeably. The tilt can be set separately at each height, cutting glare without closing off the view. It is used on office, commercial and villa façades and can be set up to retract automatically on a wind sensor.

Aluminium external venetian blinds provide top-level energy efficiency with louvres adjustable at every height. Sun control brings unrivalled comfort.
Designed for architects and façade projects, these external sun-shading systems deliver both aesthetics and energy efficiency for offices, plazas and villas. As a manufacturer, we supply our dealers with knock-down systems and wholesale terms.
An external venetian blind does not roll around a tube like a roller shutter; the extruded aluminium louvres hang on PVC-coated 304 stainless steel cables and stack on top of each other when raised. The box stays small while widths up to 6 metres are spanned in one piece. Because the louvres can be tilted at any height, you manage light and view at the same time; a motor cover box and an external protective panel shield the mechanism from the weather.
| Maximum area | 18 m² (single unit) |
| Maximum width | 6000 mm |
| Maximum height | 4000 mm |
| Louvre count | 13 per metre |
| Louvre | 80 mm extruded aluminium, tiltable |
| Carrier | PVC-coated 304 stainless steel cable |
| Mounting | Its own box (ceiling- or wall-mounted) |
| Control | Tubular motor; remote control, wall switch or smart-home system |
| Colour | All RAL colours and wood-transfer coating |
Because the louvres stack when raised, the box height is chosen according to the blind height:
| Blind height | Box size | Sheet thickness |
| Up to 2000 mm | 100 × 150 mm | 1.0 mm |
| 2001 – 2500 mm | 100 × 200 mm | 1.0 mm |
| 2501 mm and above | 100 × 250 mm | 1.0 mm |
All aluminium parts are powder-coated in RAL colours; wood-transfer coating offers finishes such as oak, walnut and mahogany. The system runs on a tubular motor and is operated by remote control, wall switch, timer or smart-home integration; wind and sun sensors can be added.

Sun louvre shutters (the Tiktak series) roll into a box and their slats open to a set angle; on an external venetian blind the louvres hang on steel cables, stack when raised and can be tilted to any angle at any height. That is why venetian blinds cover wider openings with a smaller box.
The louvres run inside side guide profiles; with a wind sensor the motor raises the blind automatically in strong wind.
Single units up to 6000 mm wide, 4000 mm high and 18 m²; larger façades are covered with several units.
Yes. Turned fully closed, the slats sit one over the other and cut the light out. At intermediate angles you get shade and airflow together, and because each height can take its own slat angle, the amount of light is tuned storey by storey.
Slat movement and blackout behaviour for all six models sit side by side in the sun louvre comparison.
No; the external venetian is a separate system that works outside the facade with its own box, side guides and PVC-coated 304 stainless steel cables. If you need a solution that fits an existing box, look at the jalousie shutter or the Tiktak range.
