The Venetian Shutter stands out with slats that can be set to any desired angle: 21 increments up to 110 degrees give full control over sunlight, letting you choose the exact level of light and shade. With security, unlimited colour options and energy efficiency, it is an ideal solution in both aesthetic and functional terms.
Unlike a plain roller shutter, a Venetian shutter tilts its slats as well as raising and lowering them. Adjustable to 110° in 21 steps, the slats let you set light and view without closing up: they cut the midday sun and open to the view in the evening. Fully lowered, the slats close over each other and black out the room like a conventional shutter.

Designed for architects and façade projects, these external sun louvre shutters deliver both aesthetics and energy efficiency for offices, plazas and villas. As a manufacturer, we supply our dealers with knock-down systems and wholesale terms.
The venetian shutter combines a roller shutter and a venetian blind in one system: fully lowered, the slats close on each other and give blackout and security like a classic shutter; raised one notch, the slats separate and tilt to the angle you choose, in 21 steps up to 110°. You adjust the light throughout the day as the sun moves while keeping the view and ventilation. The curtain rolls into a box like a classic shutter and is installed with a built-in (concealed) box: the box stays in the lintel opening and only the slats show on the façade.

The names are similar, but they are different products. A venetian blind hangs indoors, inside the window, with thin aluminium or wooden slats; it stops the sun after it has reached the glass. A venetian shutter is outside the window: it stops solar heat outside the glass, gives blackout and security when closed, and tilts its slats like a blind when open. If you want to stop the heat before it gets in, you need the external system.

A sun louvre shutter is a movable shutter with an adjustable slat angle that lets light in while keeping the sun and heat out.
Both roll into a box and have tilting slats. On the venetian shutter the slats stop at any angle in 21 steps up to 110°; on Tiktak Orient the slats open up to 60° with a simpler mechanism, making it the more economical option.
The venetian shutter is installed only with a built-in (concealed) box. If your existing box is of that type, our authorised dealer checks its size during the survey, since the winding diameter is larger than a classic shutter's. If you want tilting slats on a window with a front-mounted box, Tiktak Orient can be installed.
The slats tilt up to 110 degrees in 21 steps. Each step can be selected separately from the remote; fully closed it blacks out like a roller shutter, and at an angle it directs the light onto the ceiling.
The jalousie shutter runs in guide rails and can fit an existing shutter box; the external venetian is a separate system that works outside the facade on stainless steel cables, sets a different slat angle at every height and reaches 18 m² in one unit.
All six models sit side by side in the sun louvre comparison.
Single units go up to 3000 mm wide and 3000 mm high, and up to 8 m². Larger openings are divided into several shutters.
The venetian shutter is made to measure at our İzmir facilities and supplied as a knock-down system to our authorised dealers across Türkiye; measuring and installation are carried out by your nearest Ferrini dealer.
