Tiktak Orient Sun Louvre Shutter

Tiktak Orient is a sun louvre shutter whose slats open up to 60 degrees; it controls sunlight and ventilation and lets you see out while keeping your privacy. It is installed with a front-mounted or built-in (concealed) box.

Lift a Tiktak Orient one notch and the slats open up to 60°: closed it blacks the room out, open it gives controlled light and ventilation. Because the tilt is stepped, you keep the view out without giving up privacy. It is installed with a front-mounted or built-in (concealed) box, including existing boxes whose winding diameter fits.

How it works

Closed, Tiktak Orient covers the opening completely like a classic roller shutter; raised one notch, the adjustable slats tilt up to 60° and let light and air through. The curtain rolls into the box like a roller shutter; the winding diameter is read from the table for internal or external rolling. The top 5 slats are fixed for optimal rolling.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a sun louvre shutter?

A sun louvre shutter is a movable shutter with an adjustable slat angle that lets light in while keeping the sun and heat out.

What is the difference between Tiktak Orient, Daylight and Airlight?

On Orient the slats tilt up to 60° and give full blackout when closed. Daylight uses slim slats with fixed 10 or 20 mm gaps; Airlight 30 uses 30 mm slats with 50 mm ventilation slots and spans up to 4 m. Orient and Daylight are installed with front-mounted and built-in boxes, Airlight 30 also with monoblock boxes.

Can Tiktak Orient be fitted to an existing shutter box?

Yes, if it is a front-mounted or built-in (concealed) box. If the winding diameter from the table plus 3 cm of tolerance fits the box, our authorised dealer plans the installation.

What sizes is Tiktak Orient made up to?

Up to 3300 mm wide and 3300 mm high in one unit, covering 9.9 m². It weighs about 9 kg per square metre; wider openings are divided into sections.

How do I choose between Orient and Daylight?

Orient tilts the slat on its own axis up to 60 degrees: privacy remains while you see out. Daylight parts the slats by 10 or 20 mm and lets light in as thin strips, but the slat angle does not change.

Slat, size and ventilation differences for the four Tiktak models are in the sun louvre comparison.

Are the Orient shutter and Tiktak Orient the same product?

Yes. Tiktak is the name of our sun louvre shutter series made up of the Orient, Daylight and Airlight models; Orient is the model in this series whose slats tilt up to 60 degrees. It is also searched for as "Orient shutter" or "Orient sun louvre".
