Tiara Twinmax Insulated Glass Balcony
The highest thermal insulation ever achieved in balcony glazing. With insulated glass panels, magnetic EPDM gaskets and a concealed espagnolette lock, Tiara Twinmax turns the balcony into a real room that keeps out the winter cold and the summer heat.
Tiara is a pioneering, patented and internationally approved sliding-folding system; Twinmax is its insulated-glass version. It is made with tempered, laminated or insulated glass and wide-surface, high or slim thresholds. Besides straight balconies it fits angled and curved balconies from 85° to 275°; corners are invisible and the panels open without a post.
Why Tiara Twinmax?
Maximum sealing with magnetic EPDM gaskets
Insulation brushes at the panel joints, the EPDM gasket structure and magnetic gasket seats keep wind, rain and noise outside.
Concealed espagnolette lock
Albert Genau's espagnolette lock with a hidden recessed handle says goodbye to chain locks: elegant, and highly secure against forcing from outside.
Stainless rollers for a long life
The rollers that carry the whole system are fully weather-resistant: 1,440-hour salt-spray test, 10-year corrosion warranty.
Hidden water drainage
Hidden air channels and drainage in the carrier frame clear water quickly even in a sudden downpour, drain condensation and block direct air ingress.
Threshold options that free the space
Flush threshold-free or low-threshold alternatives let you walk through without tripping at home and provide step-free access in commercial spaces.
View
Sun control with blinds between the panes
Manage sunlight and privacy without narrowing the balcony with blinds fitted between the two panes. (Optional; the blinds are not manufactured by Albert Genau.)
Wind lock
Holds the open panels safely together on high-rise or exposed buildings. (Optional Albert Genau hardware.)
Patented child safety lock
A lock that integrates into the hinged panels, so you can relax while the children play on the balcony.

Frequently asked questions
Is the insulated glass balcony covered by a warranty?
Yes. All Tiara Twinmax systems are covered including mechanical components and corrosion: a 2-year system warranty and a 10-year corrosion warranty.
I live in a hot region; do I need insulated glass?
Yes. Insulated glass does not only block the winter cold; in summer it keeps the air-conditioned indoor air in and stops the extreme outdoor heat from entering.
I want to merge the balcony with the living room; is Tiara Twinmax suitable?
Tiara Twinmax offers the highest insulation developed for sliding-folding balcony glazing. However, the 100% air-tightness of a fixed PVC window should not be expected from a folding system, so plan room-merging projects with that in mind.
I have small children; how safe is the system?
Thanks to the patented child safety lock and the concealed espagnolette lock, the glass balcony is extremely safe for children.
Is the insulated glass hard to clean?
No. Because of the folding structure all panels open inward in turn, so even the outer surfaces are cleaned safely from inside.
