How to Clean Tambalkon?
With 100% accessible glass panels, Tambalkon® makes cleaning safe and effortless. You reach every surface from inside without leaning out: clean glass in four steps.
Cleaning in four steps
- Bring the system to the fully open position with the remote control.
- Press the push buttons to release the lower panel.
- Tilt the panels and clean the glass from inside.
- Lock the panels back and close with the remote.
The outer glass panel sits about 20 cm forward; the inner and middle panels open inward via Albert Genau's patented movable glass system. The new-generation panel movement gives safe access to the outer surfaces — no ladder, no leaning out, no professional window cleaner needed.

Maintenance tips
- Wipe the glass with a non-abrasive glass cleaner and a microfibre cloth.
- Check the drainage channels and brushes in the bottom rail at the start of each season; clear leaves and dust.
- Replace the remote battery once a year; call Ferrini service if you notice a change in motor noise or speed.
- Bring the panels to the fully closed position when a storm is forecast.
Do I have to close the system completely to clean the glass?
No — on the contrary, the lower panel is released while the system is fully open, and the panels are tilted for cleaning.
Is cleaning different on the insulated (Twin) version?
No. The panel movement is the same; only the motor and brake are sized for the heavier glass.
