LR-3500 Lift-and-Slide Insulated Sliding System
Designed for wide openings, LR-3500 combines the HBSB lift-and-slide mechanism with high load capacity, a slim interlock and effortless operation: glass surfaces approaching 4 metres in a single sash.
In a lift-and-slide (Hebe-Schiebe) system, turning the handle raises the sash a few millimetres off its gaskets so it glides effortlessly; when closed it settles back down to seal. With this mechanism LR-3500 carries 200 kg as standard and 300–400 kg with HBSB hardware; the 54 mm sash, 24 mm thermal break and 21–44 mm glazing range allow highly insulated solutions including triple glazing. Slim 40 and 50 mm interlock options, a stainless steel rail and dedicated bearings complete the system.

How does lift-and-slide differ from a standard slider?
In a standard slider the sash slides on its gaskets all the time; in lift-and-slide the sash rises when opened, freeing the gaskets so much heavier sashes move with little force. When closed, gasket compression is higher than in a standard slider, so sealing is better.
What is the maximum sash size?
Sash size is governed by the 300–400 kg weight limit; depending on glass thickness, sashes 3–4 m wide can be made. Exact sizes are confirmed at the dealer's survey with a structural check.
